They’ve done the same thing in the USA with the auction-close extension thing, and it sux. (I believe Onsale did this - now there was a sleazy auctioneer)
All it does is make it more likely that people will pay an excessive price for things. Great for the sellers, crappy for the buyers.

Admittingly, I have a Sprint Treo 755p smartphone, and one of the only sites that I check on my phone is Craigslist. I believe that is very accurate based on my account.
