The same thing was done in Spain last year and it made the headlines in the Spanish news - not sure who won or if he sold enough tickets to get the asking price that he originally wanted for his home but a good idea if you are desperate to sell!

O.K. So if this guy wants to auction off his house by selling raffle tickets so be it and let it be written in the Real Estate Hall of Fame. What this house really needs is a herd of goats milling around in the yard so the new owner doesnt have to be out the cost of a lawn mower. Also the cost of gasoline should be considered since there will not be anymore autos manufactured once Obama runs through everybodys savings accounts. Back on the subject...Buy Goats...Not Homes. They were here before the Messiah or his congressional stimulous scams.

Desperate times call for desperate measures I guess. But I like the idea.

Just remember, there is always hidden fees so the best deal isn't always the best deal so just keep it in mind!

The Arizona area is one of the hardest hit markets in the US so it's not surprising people are turning to interesting tactics. Let's see what comes next, I like it!!

Creative marketing idea. I believe when you "raffle" or "giveaway" a large value item you need to check the state and federal laws on disclosure and notices. Maybe this value is not large enough? Ever wonder why they always say, "no purchase necessary to win"?
Also I believe many states have a filing process for "giveaways" to make sure the taxes are being collected and the sale is not concidered "gambling". I'd get an attorney if I was the winner or seller... Everyone has good points here online...keep it up...

The house looks nice and the raffle seems to be a bargain at $100.00 but my question is, how much is the monthly payment on the mortgage and whats the yearly tax?

creative marketing is in order. we should all share trade opportunities including tips that increase product exposure. realtors need customers and after 43 years as a realtor, mortgage broker and professional auctioneer my suggestion is to place your property for sale at auction. can be done safely by using the "reserve" auction method. owner financing can be another "tip" using flexable, creative financing such as "wrap around mortgages" " lease options," "contracts for deed," "reverse mortgages,"short sales,"short pays," blended rates"land trusts" joint ventures" equity sharing,"1031 exchanges" trading property" taking trade ins,"for equity consideration. let's be positive in our comments to each other!!!
