What greater powers have inflicted themselves upon Craigslist and threatened legal action or other, perhaps more sinister financial or other consequences which drove Craigslist to abandon its clientelle, in this case, the removal of adult services?
In my mind, this is yet another sign of the futility of fighting the American system. And, to those not acquainted with the details of history, this is much like the state of Germany in the 1930s, when a right-wing ultra conservative movement, disquising themselves as socialist reformers, took over a nation, sapped it of its purpose, and drove freedom underground.
Please guys, America is worth fighting for. Our rights, our freedoms are worth fighting for too. If Craigslist, a group of like-minded people bent on providing a service to Americans, can’t fight the good fight, who do we have left?
There are few remaining to carry on the fight for continuing freedom. I for one mourn the loss of adult services, not because I used them (I never did, never planned to), but because it represents the loss of yet another battle for our personal freedoms, and another win for those who run our lives.
Insert whatever lecture, motivational speech, slew of insults, rant, or anything else you need inserted here to get it through your heads that you have contributed to the loss of personal freedoms by stepping down from this battle.
I certainly know the pain, but the conveniences you have saved are far, far from worth such a loss. I hope you can see the bigger picture here.
